   In-depth and often critical journalism which involves careful, detailed and often timeconsuming research which may result in unfolding some scandal or information that those in authority would prefer to remain unknown. For example, The Guardian conducted an in-depth probe into the cash for questions affair during the lifetime of the Major Government.
